WHAT DO RED GAZING BALLS MEAN?
We all know what the color red represents: passion, drama, love, power, strength, in short, a color associated with strong emotions and feelings. The history of red is quite unique, as it dates back tens of thousands of years, when our ancestors living in caves already used it for cave paintings. Later, during the Roman Empire, it was extracted either from cinnabar (a mineral that had to be mined from toxic mercury mines) or from carmine, an organic dye derived from an insect, the cochineal.
The latter, carmine, became one of the most prosperous businesses of the Spanish Empire for centuries, as cochineals were imported from America for many years, being of much higher quality than the European ones. This continued until the courtiers of European palaces discovered that they were painting their cheeks with the blood of insect eggs.
Returning to gazing balls, a garden using red garden gazing balls will be a garden that conveys passion, strength, energy, and vitality.
WHERE I SHOULD PLACE THEM?
A red glass gazing ball will perfectly complement your garden in areas where you have white flowers (gardenias, orchids, daffodils, etc.), yellow flowers (daisies, for example), or even dark blue flowers (hydrangeas, orchids, bellflowers, water lilies, etc.).
If you want to place them in a prominent location, you can also use a red gazing ball with a stand, making it visible from any point in the garden.
