SCENT WOODEN BALLS

Scented wooden balls are small wooden balls, usually made of absorbent cedar (although they can be made of other types of wood), that have been treated with fragrances and essential oils to absorb the aroma and gradually release it over a long period of time.

It depends on many factors, and it’s difficult to give an exact answer. The duration of the scent is influenced by the type of wood and its absorption capacity, as well as the chemical composition of the fragrance in question. Generally, we can say that the scent can last from 2-3 months to, in the best cases, 1-2 years.

They can be used anywhere in the house: inside drawers and closets, along with clothes. In a bowl in the bathroom to scent the space. In the living room, in various locations, or together with other types of diffusers to fragrance the entire room.

Scent balls can be made at home if you have the necessary materials. The process is simple:

• Start with about 10-20 wooden balls, ideally cedar, with a diameter of approximately 0.85 inches.
• Place the balls in a clean glass jar, free of moisture and previous odors.
• Prepare about 1.5-3 oz of your favorite fragrance. You can purchase it from a specialty store, or you can request free samples from a manufacturer (although free samples will only be about 0.3 oz).
• Pour the fragrance into the glass jar with the wooden balls and seal it immediately. Shake the jar to ensure all the balls are coated with the perfume.
• Keep the jar closed and let it sit for at least 48 hours.
• Open the jar and enjoy your scented balls.
